OI Insights

OI Insights is a companion program to our two-day Opportunity Indianapolis series.

OI Insights takes participants on an in-depth, in-person experience into one unique aspect of our city’s civic life with opportunities to engage with local leaders.

The April 2023 session will delve into a discussion around inequality, prosperity and social impact on the city’s Far Eastside.

The event will begin with a self-guided tour of the P30 coworking space. Attendees will be welcome to explore the facility, enjoy food from a local caterer and network with one another.

Following that, we will host a panel discussion featuring:

  • Tamise Cross, Executive Director (P30)
  • Allissa Impink, Director of Family Philanthropy and Sr. Philanthropic Advisor (Central Indiana Community Foundation)
  • Mark Thomas, COO (Helix)

*Ticket price includes parking and light refreshments

Participants of this program will:

  • Learn about equity and inclusion work being done on the Far Eastside
  • Connect with local civic leaders
  • Be empowered to explore potential opportunities for collaboration

Why is LI hosting this program?

Leadership Indianapolis has a long history of bringing together people from different professions, lived experiences, and perspectives to learn about community issues and leadership. This program is another way for us to do that. We believe our city and its future is strengthened when people are able to come together for meaningful civil conversations about important issues.

Why is there a registration fee to participate?

The registration fee allows us to compensate our staff and featured speakers for the time and expertise they invest in this program. It also allows us to pay for venue rentals, other materials and provide refreshments to attendees.

What if I want to participate but I can’t afford the registration fee?

We do not want cost to prevent anyone from participating so if the registration cost creates a barrier to your participation, please reach out to Ebony Chappel at echappel@leadershipindianapolis.com.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

If you have questions about this program, please contact Ebony Chappel at echappel@leadershipindianapolis.com.

Don't just take our word for it

I've lived in Indy for almost 20 years yet I don't know much of our history. I loved the idea of the walking tour coupled with the chance to hear/learn more from the panel about how policy, race, redevelopment have all played out in this one specific, historical area - and how the same factors are playing out today.

I will definitely share the experience I had and encourage others to attend future events with Leadership Indianapolis as well. The interactions were refreshing, and I enjoyed engaging with others and listening to their viewpoints.
