Karen Stone serves as Program Manager at Leadership Indianapolis. Before joining Leadership Indianapolis, she was the Event and Engagement Manager for the coordination program of Lilly Endowment Inc.’s National Initiative to Address Economic Challenges Facing Pastoral Leaders. Karen’s work has centered on building relationships — among organizations, leaders, and communities — that lead to deeper engagement and lasting impact.
As a convening consultant, Karen has worked with nonprofit organizations to design and deliver mission-aligned events that strengthen networks and advance shared goals. Prior to her consulting work, she served as Program Manager at the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Karen holds an M.A. in Community Relations and a B.A. in Communications from Purdue University. She volunteers with Scouting America as a den leader and supports local art shows. She resides on the north side with her husband and two children.
