Angela Smith Jones
Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion, Health & Hospital Corp of Marion County
Angela Smith Jones serves as Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion at The Health & Hospital Corp of Marion County.
Angela previously served as Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett’s first Deputy Mayor for Economic Development. Under her purview, Smith Jones oversaw Develop Indy, the city’s economic development organization; Employ Indy, the city’s workforce improvement board; Office of Minority and Women Business Development; and worked closely with the Office of International and Latino Affairs. Leading these organizations, Smith Jones directed the strategies of business retention and expansion, attraction of new companies, job growth, and the development of a strong workforce pipeline for the city of Indianapolis. She also ensured that entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds were supported and given opportunity.
Earlier in her career Angela served as General Counsel and Director of Policy and Legislation with the Indy Chamber. As a lobbyist she advocated for immigration and non-discriminatory policies and global business advancement.
Angela is a graduate of SKL Class XXXVII.
Darshan Shah
Senior Vice President & Chief Data Officer, BioCrossroads
Darshan Shah is BioCrossroads’ senior vice president/chief data officer. Shah has proven success in strategically guiding healthcare and life sciences organizations in a variety of functions, including operations, finance, quality, engineering and sales. He joins BioCrossroads after serving as chief data officer for the State of Indiana and executive director of the Management and Performance Hub (MPH). As a result of his vision and leadership, MPH is a national leader in transforming state government through the use of data and analytics.
Building upon his background and experience, Shah focuses on programs and projects that advance Indiana’s life sciences data analytics strategy. Prior to his role at the State of Indiana, his career focused on various aspects of healthcare. He was responsible for leading all aspects of operations and account management at OurHealth. At Deloitte Consulting, he supported numerous states as they determined their approach and built solutions for state-based Health Insurance Exchanges. Early in his career, he held roles at Eli Lilly and Company, including in quality systems, field sales, systems development, supply chain, and capital project delivery.

Shah earned an MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University.

Joshua Driver
Founder & CEO, Selfless.ly
Throughout his career, Joshua Driver saw a widening gap between business and philanthropy. But staying in his career track wouldn’t close the divide. Driver started out as an EMT for what was then called Wishard Hospital. He worked in the burn unit and wound care and went on regular ambulance runs. There, he said, he met people who faced struggles he hadn’t been confronted with before. He left health care to start building technology companies that helped nonprofits raise money, engage donors, and support volunteers.
In 2017, he co-founded Selfless.ly (Indiana’s first Certified B Corp and Domestic Benefit Corporation) to provide businesses with software to better navigate community service commitments. Driver launched Open for Service in 2015, a not-for-profit sticker campaign meant to counter the Indiana Legislature’s passage of the controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Josh raised over $40,000 dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year campaign.
Currently, Josh Chairs the City of Indianapolis’ contract compliance committee and is a member of the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board, which oversees the Office of Minority Women Business Development. He also serves as a technical adviser to Indiana Youth Group and Indy Pride.
Josh lives in downtown Indianapolis with his husband Jeff and their rescued English bulldog Huckleberry.
Nickolas Williams
Chief Revenue Officer, Crossroads Education
President, Crossroads Education Foundation
Nickolas Williams, the Chief Revenue Officer of Crossroads Education, and the President of Crossroads Education Foundation has a diverse background in sales, business development, and fundraising. Before coming to Crossroads, he served as the Senior Philanthropy Analyst/Senior Major Gift Officer at the Indiana University Health Foundation.
At the IU Health Foundation, he raised philanthropic funds for the various diversity and inclusion efforts and hospital services lines such as the Neuroscience and Transplant departments. Before joining IU Health, Nickolas was the Sr. Associate Director of Regional Development for the Indiana University Foundation. He was responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding Indiana University (IU Bloomington, IUPUI, and the six regional campuses) alumni locally and nationally. His local region included Boone County, Hendricks County, Marion County, and Tippecanoe County. Nationally, Nickolas covered the Atlantic Coast: Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Additionally, he was responsible for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs (DEMA) development initiatives for the foundation.
Before joining the Indiana University Foundation, Nickolas worked in political fundraising for several years. He first served on the Melina Kennedy for Indianapolis mayoral campaign, and then more recently, worked on the Joe Donnelly for Indiana US Senate campaign. Before his experience in politics, Nickolas worked in athletics. His experience includes working for Purdue Sports Properties, a partner of Learfield Sports, the Black Coaches Association, and USA Track & Field.
Currently, Nick spends much of his time volunteering with several not-for-profits and civic organizations. He sits on the Board of Directors for Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, serves as the Polemarch (President) for the Indianapolis Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, selected as an Indiana Representative for the US Global Leadership Coalition, and volunteers time for the Exchange, the young professional affiliate of the Indianapolis Urban League. Furthermore, Nick is a Leadership Indianapolis Alum through Class XLI of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series. He was also recently recognized by the IBJ as Forty under 40.
