“My main lesson has been to be still… I have think about what is happening and not readily jump into something thinking I have the solution,” Dr. Terri Jett
The Leadership Indianapolis series The Convo provides opportunities to learn more about community leaders, organizations, issues and opportunities in our city.
In this conversation you will meet Dr. Terri Jett, Professor of Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies Department and Special Assistant to the Provost for Diversity and Inclusivity at Butler University. Dr. Jett, who recently became the first Black woman named full professor at Butler, talks to us about the role of academia in navigating times of social distress and the responsibility of anchor institutions, like universities, to the larger communities in which they exist.
